Magali Sander Fett


Magali Sander Fett, born in Brazil, studied communication sciences and completed a ballet training in Porto Alegre. She then studied dance at the Folkwang University in Essen. She worked with various choreographers with Rodolpho Leoni, Susanne Linke, Emanuel Gat and Tero Saarinen. From 2000 to 2012 she belonged to the ensemble of the Bremen Tanztheater under the direction of Urs Dietrich. In 2013/2014 she was a performer at Gintersdorfer/Klassen and Jochen Roller. Since 2013 guest dancer at the Tanztheater Erfurt under the direction of Ester Ambrosino and at steptext dance project (Helge Letonja). 2014 Premiere of her pieces “Street Art Project – Allowed to play” in the Schwankhalle Bremen and “Corvus–Second Nature” at the Theater Bremen, produced by TanzKollektivBremen. In 2015 she was engaged as a choreographer and director for the short film project ›Postcards for Bremerhaven‹ and received a residency scholarship in the Choreographischer Center Heidelberg for the production In cooperation with the Theater Bremen, she developed a performance on the visual artistic work of Johann Kresnik in 2018. In 2018, her choreography “Anne, Hale, Béla & Maria” was shown at the Tanztreffen der Jugend. In 2019, she developed the performance “2D- dimensions” for the works of the exhibition “Ikonen – Was Wir Menschenten”, which was performed in the Kunsthalle Bremen. In 2021, “Kick & Rush!” came on the football field of ATS Buntentor Bremen and 2022, “Körperschau”, a dance intervention in relation to works of the exhibition “CKD – Completely knocked down (Recife Bremen Connection)” at the Städtische Galerie Bremen. She is a guest lecturer at the Hochschule für Künste im Soziales Ottersberg and teaches at Tanzwerk Bremen.

Training


Dance is for Magali Sander Fett expression and communication with others. Trained at the Folkwang University in Essen, their teaching is influenced by the principles of graham and limón technology. In her trainings and workshops, she pursues the movement principles of body, time and space, with the aim of getting into a flowing energy and expanding her own movement qualities with imagination. She gives improvisation and composition workshops and teaches classical ballet and modern dance.
